Mercedes: Replacement for Rosberg arrives in 2017.

Mercedes team has confirmed that it will not reveal who will replace Nico Rosberg in the team for next year.

Rosberg announced his retirement from Formula 1 just five days after he achieved the greatest success in his career by winning the title at the final race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Germans in August signed a two-year contract with Mercedes, who are in a quandary, because everyone on the team we are counting on two drivers available.

Experienced drivers are under contract for next season, but the German team did not want to hire a novice to be a team-mate Lewis Hamilton, which is more difficult job.

One of the leaders of Mercedes Niki Lauda said ten days ago that the decisions Rosberg made a big hole in the team. Although the German team were in no hurry to find a solution as soon as possible, came confirmation that there will be no announcements regarding Rosberg replacement before the 3rd of January.

“Nothing is planned in the period to return to work on January 3,” confirmed a spokesman for Mercedes.

It is believed that Valtteri Bottas and Pascal Verlajn main candidates for the other Mercedes driver, and referring to the last days and Carlos Sainz junior.
